The musical I call my life (spoken word piece)

The musical I call my life, a story of a song bird
As I sing the tuning of my heart
My inner most feelings
My soul, a resonating compostion of emotions.

Once afraid of pitchy displayed attention,
thought of myself as average
longing to be a crotchet
but was merely a minim, a crotchet left empty
So I began to seek HIM first
And was filled
Now a crotchet amongst others,
However I refuse to be just an ‘other’
So I call myself a quaver
A crotchet none the less with just that something extra.

A song bird as I sing the tuning of my heart
Like a staccatoed rhythm
I’m-taking-every-day-as-it-comes
Knowing that its filled with melodic grace
Accompanied by sweet abundance.

My heart is playing the chords of C
A melody so beautifully created
A symphony with a treble clef beginning
To a hopeful harmonious end.
